16 September 2025

SSEK Law Firm partner Winnie Yamashita Rolindrawan and associates Qafaldi Putra Ismayudha and Pasha Umar Hubeis have contributed an article, “Developments in Indonesia’s P2P Lending Sector,” to the inaugural Indonesia edition of The Legal Industry Reviews (LIR).

This article examines the rapid growth of financial technology (fintech) in Indonesia, with peer-to-peer (P2P) lending emerging as a major development in the financial services sector. It discusses the opportunities and risks posed by P2P Organizers, as well as the regulatory response through OJK Regulation No. 40 of 2024, which introduces stricter rules on credit scoring, performance standards, and risk management.

The piece highlights how the new framework seeks to enhance consumer protection, promote sustainable growth, and shape the future of Indonesia’s P2P lending ecosystem.
